In 1956, Darriel (Buck) Nicholson established the Rockcliff Memorial Company in Weatherford, Okla., while a student at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. The company was moved to 638 N. 6th St. in Clinton, Okla., in 1961 and has continued to operate from the same location until present. The name changed from Rockcliff Memorial Company to Nicholson Monument Company upon the relocation. Nicholson Monument Company is a family owned and operated business with a combined, key personal, experience base of 106 years. maintain the continued growth, it has been necessary to enter into the monument realm of higher technology. During recent years , Nicholson Monument has expanded its operation into the other areas beyond grave memorials. The company has entered into the design and erection of all different types of memorials. Including, but not limited to: war memorials, school memorials, signs, park memorials, ect. It is the hope, dream and prayer of the Nicholson family that they may be able to continue serving those who stand in need of their service and expertise for many years to come. |
